OK. I know I shouldn't laugh. But that's totally something I'd do. I've lost many a fingertips. But usually on left hand due to x-acto knife "accidents." Oh wait. Once I cut myself with big ass scissors, kinda like the one you have.

Really glad the tip is healing back up. And that you get to break into a new journal. So wish I could be there, to flip through the completed one, savor it with a cup of tea, with you next to me, telling me how you did each page. Sigh of happiness at the thought.

Yeah for digi pages! Yeah for knitting. Yeah for apple season. My fave would be apple pie. Followed by caramel apple (lots of caramel), followed by homemade butter, followed by apple muffins, followed by apple cider. Oh, let's not forget apple with pork chops. Those are really good too. :)

those pages are gorgeous. I was showing my MIL all your pretty knitting projects. we were able to find your work on Ravelry. and for the fav apple treat, apple crisp with a big ol scoop of new york vanilla ice cream!

Beautiful pages & I vote for apple crisp with ice cream.

i can't wait to see your next journal...they are truly so gorgeous. i have a favorite sour cream apple pie. soooo yummy. also a skillet apple pie that has caramel as the bottom layer (under the crust) really delicious!

and i'm SO sorry about your finger. i've wanted to get a mandoline for awhile...but injury is one of my reasons for holding back!

Kelly Rodgers

Oh ouch. That sound painful!
Love you art journal. And your shawlette - AMAZING!

OMG...whenever I see the mandoline used on the food shows I shudder about what can happen. I own one and get queasy knowing what could happen. Anyway...glad you finger is healing and thank you very much for the visual that will stick in my head for the rest of my life. Kidding. I have to say I love that I get to see your scrap/journal art. I saw your layout on Pinterest and had to come check out your blog. Beautiful layouts!

And favorite fall treat this year is candy corn mixed with peanuts. Tastes like a Salted Nut Roll. Mmmmm.

I cojment when I especially enjoy a post on a site or I have something to contrihute to the conversation. Ushally it's a result of the passion communicated in the post I read. And after this post Jenn Olson Makes: Open Book: Back At It. I was moved enough to post a comment :-P I do have 2 questions for you if it's okay. Is it simply me or do some of these remarks look as if they are coming frdom brain dead visitors? :-P And, if you are writing at additional sites, I would like to follow everything fressh you have to post. Could you mwke a list every one of all your social sites like your Facebook page, twittsr feed, or linkein profile?

Appreciating the time and effort you put into your site and in depth information you provide. It's awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the sme outdated rehashed material. Great read! I've bookmarked your site and I'm including your RSS feeds to my Google account.

I recommend getting a steel mesh butcher's glove to wear on your non dominant hand. I carve wood with an olfa knife, and this has saved me from so many serious cuts! You can get them on ebay really cheap ($35 or so ...)
